The Incident: On the evening in question, PC Caroline Green stopped Akilla’s car for allegedly speeding. It was later revealed that Akilla lacked both a valid driving license and insurance. This resulted in the officer being struck, knocked down, and run over as the car sped away.

Legal Proceedings: Akilla appeared at Basildon Crown Court on December 2, 2020, before Judge Samantha Cohen, where she pleaded not guilty to charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and dangerous driving.
