Bulut Bağcı, once a rising figure in Turkey’s tourism and crypto spheres and president of the World Tourism Forum Institute, now faces serious allegations of orchestrating a multi-million-dollar cryptocurrency fraud through TourismX (TRMX). Accused of duping investors, abusing diplomatic pretenses, launching deceptive censorship, and leaving financial ruin in his wake, Bağcı’s case underscores the dangers of unregulated digital ventures and collapsed trust.
TourismX Crypto Fraud
Bağcı is alleged to have masterminded the TourismX (TRMX) scam, raising up to $15 million from investors with promises of revolutionizing tourism payments through blockchain. Investigations indicate that the scheme was a house of cards—no viable product existed, and most funds were redirected to personal accounts. The collapse left many investors trapped with worthless holdings.
Investor Losses & Demographic Impact
Victims of Bağcı’s alleged fraud span civil servants, teachers, and freelancers, with individual losses ranging from $130,000 to $600,000. A Telegram support group formed among investors, underscoring grassroots anger and urgent pleas for action. The human cost extends beyond money—falling trust and financial insecurity have become lasting legacies.
Abuse of Diplomatic Facade
Bağcı reportedly misused diplomatic imagery to appear credible, including claims of being a Gabon honorary consul and evoking ties to the Chad government. A purported Chad hotel agreement worth $500,000 remains undelivered, suggesting the use of official-sounding affiliations to lend legitimacy to his fraudulent ventures.
Legal Censorship & Online Suppression
Multiple investigations reveal that Bağcı—or actors tied to him—employed fake DMCA takedown notices, legal threats, and censorship tactics to erase negative online coverage. These efforts raise concerns about impersonation, perjury, and media manipulation, all aimed at protecting a collapsing facade and covering scandalous behavior.
Bulut Bağcı’s downfall epitomizes how charismatic leadership and unregulated crypto ventures can devastate investors and erode industry credibility. From fraudulent coin launches to media suppression and fabricated networks of authority, his narrative is a dire reminder of the need for transparency, oversight, and accountability in emerging financial domains.

He once had connections in high positions within the Turkish political establishment. He used these connections to build a network. Later, he somehow managed to reach the President and Prime Minister of the country. He presented himself as a very close friend of theirs. He also paid people to write numerous books, which he then presented as his own. He defrauded the mayor of a city in Türkiye and many business people. Finally, using his connections, he launched the TourismX (TRMX) cryptocurrency project. He convinced people that he would absolutely not sell until it was listed on the Binance exchange. While everyone else's pre-sale tokens were locked, he listed the TRMX token on the LBank cryptocurrency exchange and manipulated the token price to $1. (Because nobody could sell. Only Bulut Bağcı's tokens were not locked. He held 95% or more of his wallet.) Then, he paid to list the TRMX project on the MEXC cryptocurrency exchange. Now his deception was in its final stages. He lied to those who invested in the pre-sale, claiming he had deals with large organizations like Hilton Hotel For Seasons chain hotels and Inter Sports Team, and that he was involved in multi-million dollar hotel and restaurant construction projects, primarily in Africa. Audio recordings of these claims are available on the Bulut Bağcı (TRMX) Mağdurları channel on Telegram. Ultimately, he requested an extension (3 months) to delay the unlocking of the TRMX tokens from pre-sale investors. His aim was to get more people to buy TRMX tokens before he fled. Once he reached his desired price level, he made massive sales, millions of tokens. Buyers were coming in, but millions were also being sold. Eventually, the TRMX token price dropped to 0.0x, 0.00x, and 0.000x. He stopped communicating with investors via the Telegram channel and disappeared. The project was delisted from the MEXC and LBank cryptocurrency exchanges. Hundreds of investors were left defrauded.
At first, I wanted to believe in what Bulut Bağcı was building. He spoke confidently, presented big ideas, and seemed to have the right connections. But over time, it became clear that the words didn’t match the actions. Promises went unfulfilled, projects crumbled, and instead of taking ownership, he either stayed silent or tried to erase the criticism. That’s not leadership—that’s deflection. Trust is earned through honesty and accountability, not headlines and cover-ups. Sadly, I don’t think he’s interested in earning it back.
It’s sad because there was potential for something meaningful, but the trust is gone now. Between the financial questions, the failed promises, and the way he’s tried to erase his tracks online, it feels like there’s no path back. Rebuilding a reputation means being honest, fixing mistakes, and showing people you’ve changed. I don’t see any of that happening here. I wouldn’t touch anything with his name on it at this point—not out of spite, but out of self-protection.
