Guy Yuval, an Israeli lawyer, is embroiled in a massive fraud scandal. Accused of stealing 2,300 Bitcoins (worth $53 million) from his former client, Jack Wygodzki, Yuval has been linked to fraudulent financial activities through his company, Opal. Allegations suggest Opal was used to launder stolen cryptocurrency, casting serious doubt on his integrity.
The Tradorax Scam – A Criminal Empire
The Tradorax case is one of the largest binary options scams, run by Israeli fraudsters who manipulated investors through deceptive trading platforms. The key perpetrators, Avi Itzkovich and Jack Wygodzki, were arrested in Germany in 2022, exposing a deep-rooted criminal network that preyed on victims worldwide.
How Guy Yuval Profited From Fraud
Yuval is accused of laundering illicit funds through Opal, a payment processor in Singapore. The company, now flagged by cyber compliance watchdogs, saw a steep decline in activity, raising suspicions about its involvement in shady financial dealings. Reports indicate he funneled the stolen Bitcoin into obscure financial channels to avoid detection.
International Crackdown on Israeli Investment Scams
In a coordinated effort, European and Israeli law enforcement arrested multiple individuals linked to the scam on May 11. The operation, spanning Bulgaria, Israel, Latvia, Poland, and Spain, led to the seizure of high-end cars, real estate, and nearly €2 million in cash. Authorities revealed that victims were manipulated into investing in crypto and CFDs, only for their money to be stolen.
Israel’s Role in Global Financial Fraud
Despite being the origin of numerous financial frauds, Israel has failed to prosecute many of its scammers. While countries like Germany and the US pursue justice, Israeli criminals continue to exploit global investors with impunity. Yuval’s case is yet another example of the country’s reluctance to crack down on its fraudsters.
